If you have the time an patience, a flea comb can work wonders without chemicals. Have a pop bottle next to you with a about a half inch of rubbing alcohol in the bottom. After each stoke of the comb, pull any fleas of the comb and poke them down into the bottle. The fumes will kill that and the shape of the bottle will keep them from hopping back out. Be prepared to spend 20-30 minutes a day doing this (don't know how big your puppy is) during flea season and you may need to do it twice a day.

Or use a good flea topical like Advantage or Frontline. There are others, but if the price doesn't make your eyes bug out, stay away from that brand.

Get this puppy to a vet already! Th puppy is young and he can recommend a good flea shampoo for puppies. and answer all your other pet questions. DON'T EXPECT DOCTOR ANSWERS ON HERE!!

The best option is to get a flea medicine. Anything but hartz, which has been known to harm dogs will be good. My dog prefers flea medicine that is made to be like a treat, because he won't take others. As for getting rid of the fleas right now, frequent baths are the best option.

See your vet. The best, newest, and only flea preparations that still work are at your vet's.
