Working at CVS Pharmacy Trainnee / Pharmacy Technician?

I have friends who just graduated from a accredited pharmacy technician school is southern California. They wanted to know why CVS only hires part time pharmacy technicians instead of full time ? Is it true they only work about 25 to 30 hours per week for entry level pharmacy technicians ? Do they offer health insurance benefits if you work only part time ? Is your work schedule the same each week even if the store is not 24 hours.

Maybe these CVS only need part-time pharmacy techs. Who knows. I haven't heard of CVS offering health insurance benefits to part-time employees. Other pharmacies may hire full-time techs if they need it. Work schedule is generally based on your availablity and their scheduling needs. It might not be the same each week since it "retail pharmacy"

Many of entry level positions go to trainees with no certification. You *might* get more hours if already certified. As far as benefits and hours, you would have to ask the employer.
