Am I allowed to immediately resign from my work?
I've been working at this job for I would say a good three weeks and I've hated every minute of it. I do not feel like I am excelling in my workplace and some workers are particularly nasty to me. As well, I asked for full time when I was hired and I got 10 hours and I got an entire week off.... On top of all of that, my pay check is literally minimum wage. I am pending on a position from another company but regardless or not I get hired there I just want to leave this job as soon as possible. My next shift is on Friday and after that I work the following 3 days (surprise around when I start to quit I get more shifts but still minimum wage job and I cannot deal with the people I work with) and I plan on handing in a resignation after my shift on Friday. If I say that I have been offered employment at another company can I immediately resign. I know it is putting them under tight spot and it is not courteous of me to inform them so late but I could not do it any sooner because I didn't have any shifts and going to work and back would take two hours for a couple minutes. Sorry for that long rant and I know how unprofessional that sounds but am I able to immediately resign?
I'm also not using any of my managers from this job as references as I have other ones my new job can refer to
