Last week i bought a refurbished iPhone 5s from gamestop for only $289.00. This iPhone costs about $550.00 from apple if purchased without contract. Anyway i bought it and the battery is very good and it lasts many hours (knock on wood). So im just curious if maybe it has a brand new battery.?

I'm pretty sure it has the original battery, but iPhone batteries are very reliable. The chance of your battery going bad are slim to none as long as you don't do anything crazy with it like getting it wet.

stay away from used iPhones!!!!! Especially if they're from a cell phone company. I've bought 2 refurbished iPhone 5s and they didn't work so I got a galaxy s4 refurbished and they don't work. My solution is to just buy a new phone

It probably has the original battery. They would only replace it if it stops working completely and even then, they would replace it with a cheap knock of one.
