What the HECK is going on with...?

...the Detroit Tigers?!?? Stay with me here: I'm a HUGE Red Sox fan (and I have been since the early 80s) but let's face it, they're pretty awful this year. HOWEVER, I was just checking the scores from yesterday & saw that the Dread Sox beat the Tigers 11-1!

Basically, my point is that you know it's bad when you get beat by 10 runs to the Red Sox, yet it seems like every time the Tigers' box score becomes final, there's a similar score! What gives?!?? Thanx for any & all answers, comments, thoughts & opinions!!!

VMart got hurt early and isn't playing at the level he did last year. Hunter is gone. Kinsler is playing like he did in Texas, before the Rangers dumped him. Migs is hurt. Gose can't hit on the road. Castellano has plateaued.
And the starting pitching, other than Price, is awful.

It's easy to blame the team's troubles on lack of offense, but pitchers are on a pace to give up 62 more runs than they did last season. Detroit outscored opponents by 52 runs last year but are -24 right now. The pitchers have just about killed this team.

Their starting pitching has been awful, Price is the only consistent one. Bullpen isn't that great either. Hitting has been on and off. They keep at a team at 1-2 runs and score 0-1 runs. Give up 8 runs and score 7 runs. Or just get blown out. They can't put a streak together.

I am a die hard sox fan as well like you are and my brother is a big tigers fan. Their team was good but now they aren't as good as they used to be. They don't have tori hunter anymore and Cabrera is hurt and on DL for awhile. Verlander is too hooked at his gf kate

The real question is, what's going on with the brew crew and the a's? Both are very good teams but are in dead last
