What are these buns called?

I used to eat those all the time! I don't remember the name in English, but in Cantonese, it's (bear with me) shuet san bao. I know that looks weird. If translated directly, it's snow mountain bread. Kind of weird.

They could be many things:

If they are sweet, then it's one of several variations of flavored sweet buns.

If they are plain rolls, then it's a specific kind of buns called, "Mantou" ( 饅 頭 ).

Bao. Two syllables - bah'-oh. Those are steamed bao. The restaurant probably also offers baked bao.
