Hair dye didn't work - attempting dark brown to blonde?

My 15 yr old daughter has naturally dark brown hair, but wanted to dye it blonde. We used a cheap Revlon dye, but it didn't do much. Her roots are now light brown but the tips are still dark. It looks highlighted, and I think it looks great. But it isn't what she wanted.

Should we try again, maybe with a different brand? I don't want to risk a change that might make it look unnatural (like turning orange or something). I also don't want to bleach it because I keep hearing bad stories of hair damage.

I've bleached my hair many times and dyed it right after.Just as long as she has great healthy hair it should not do to much harm .Purple shampoo helps with regaining so nutrients . Although you should wait because dying it so much in a short period can damage her hair even more than bleach .Your best option is to go to a professional if she wants it like super blonde almost a white (like my ends because I have an ombre with almost white tips)

I would suggest going to your hair salon and either getting it dyed there or just asking your stylist for some tips

Medium duration hair because it is easy to handle and you can still carry out most of the hairstyles
