I had a friend that said, it s all coming down to light against dark,, good against evil, god against no god. How would you interpret that?

I told him he was saying atheist are bad. He said that was my interpretation and it wasn't black and white. I said it looked pretty black and white to me.

It sounds like she is implying that no god is something negative. Morality can be present even if a diety is not. Anyhow hasn't it always been that way? The ying and the yang? Anyhow is nothing to fret about because you cannot have one without the other.

The struggle is caused by the rigid, judgemental ways of the Christian church who in theory, control the world, as the world's leader is supposed to be Christian. Fortunately, Obama isn't a nutter. The struggle is simply drug addicts or rockers against neat freak fundamentalist country fans. The solution is to legalise and control all drugs, increase welfare, education and health programs, and stop dividing the human race along lines of what cigarettes they smoke. I remind you that Jesus was a hippy, hanging out with prostitutes and thieves, as well as lepers and junkies. He said judge not, don't stone people to death for adultery, or hang people up on the cross for stealing a loaf of bread, or worshipping idols, or being gay. The modern Christian is more like the Jew that banged the nails in.

He wants a hug.

To be fair, I'm not that good at interpreting teenage angst.

Seems to me that your friend's observation, depressing as it seems, needs little in the way of interpretation. Seems rather obvious what is meant there.
