I've needed glasses for 3 years now and I just can't ask my mom? I know what to say and everything but it just won't come out. My mom knows I need them cause I squint to see like 2 feet away, but she just won't take me to the eye doctor! She keeps saying this month so maybe, but I am scared to go there! Also, what do they do at the walmart eye doctor cause that's where I go.

Your in school! If you keep telling your teachers that you can't see the board at some point they will have you see the school nurse and she of course isn't an eye doctor but she will probably test your eeys by having you read the eye chart. Once she sees that your unable to do it she will send a letter home suggesting that you be seen by an ECP (eye care professional) so you can be prescribed glasses.

Ask a teacher or a counselor (you just go to the office) at school to speak to your Mom about needing glasses for school.
Don't be afraid; they only ask you to read letters off of a chart.
