My friend is selling it too me for 400. It just needs a new transmisson witch is about 500 online. An I got friends saying they would help me put it on. But how much money exacly do I gotta put on this car too get the transmisson in it? Am I getting ripped off? Or should I just save up for something else?

LOL!! There is no such thing as a "camero". Could you mean "Camaro"??? As for "it just needs a transmission", LOL again. It needs MUCH more for that price, and merely asking this question proves that you cannot put a transmission "on". You MUST have a lift because the entire subframe has to come out from UNDER the vehicle. It is far too dangerous and complex - essentially, impossible - for a rank amateur such as yourself to install a transmission.

Either do not buy this heap, or expect to pay big bucks to a shop with the correct, required heavy equipment to put in the transmission -- and THEN find all the OTHER things wrong with it! There is NO other option.

"It just needs a new transmisson" You don't know that is all it needs because you cannot drive it and see what else is wrong - either way - the cheapest model with 200k miles in Fair condition is only worth about 1300 bucks.
400 for the car 500 for tranny plus shipping and miscellaneous installation expenses, you are easy up to $1100 and that is just where you start figuring out what else needs attention. I say pass

You paying junk money for a junk car so that's fair. But do you want a junk car or one you can drive?
