Will my vision be blurry?

I went to the eye doctor about an hour ago and they said I need glasses but I can't see close which I can but the one they showed me for close was blurry. They said it would not be perfect and not to wear them for close things. So does this mean it will be blurry up close?

Many near sighted people take their glasses off to see up close. It is perfectly normal. The glasses correct for distant vision but can often make near vision blurry.
