I need a vet's help. Please!?

I need help with our dog, he's 5months old. And he likes to eat everything he got interested with. You see, last night my younger brother heard him chasing something outside (he's out cause mother nature is calling) and he saw him ate a little frog, we tried to take it out from him but he already swallowed it. The nextday comes, dad gave him m shower, (every time he shower his all gone crazy and full of energy) but now he just lay down and sleep and he looks weak and pale, we thought that he might be poisoned by the little frog he ate, now we gave him sugar because someone says that it's a cure for poison, but we still need further informations, because we can't afford to bring him to vet right now (financial crisis) so I was hoping that someone could really help us with our loving crazy dog, we want to see him all going crazy and taking our things and running back and forth again. We miss the old him. Please do help us as soon as possible. Thank you!

Hi, my three month old puppy once swallowed a dead bird. Vonitted it out, and then swallowed it again and we could do nothing about it.
The next day we called up the vet and he said just let him lay low if he feels uneasy and if he wants to eat give him light food that is good for digestion. You could give him curd, banana, rice, milk mixed with water, and perhaps some cornflakes. But do not give him any other dairy or meat till the frog is out of his system. Don't worry, he will be fine. Just try and keep him playful.

Some frogs, and even more so if it was a toad, are poisonous so unless you want to lose your dog, FIND A VET- and the money to pay him. FAST

Sugar is NOT an antidote for poison. That's ridiculous. And so is giving him a shower when he's clearly already in a bad situation. He does NOT need extra stress.

I realise you are a kid? but get your parents to take this dog straight to a vet - to withhold treatment when needed (clearly!) is illegal in most places - for good reason.

There are no vets on here. No one, including a vet, can diagnose/treat your dog without examining it, least of all YA, take it to a vet.

Your responsibility to constantly supervise your dog, contain when you can't, immediate correction when caught in the act, dog proof your premises, put everything away so it can't access anything and provide sufficient daily exercise. A tired dog is a good dog.

Dogs shouldn't be "showered"* unless vet recommended and/or prescribed. When you "shower" (spring/fall) you must make sure you dry it thoroughly so it doesn't get chilled.

Never give your dog anything without vet recommendation and/or prescription. Including sugar which is harmful.

"we can't afford to bring him to vet right now (financial crisis)" Apply for Care Credit, otherwise you shouldn't have a dog.

If you can't afford a vet why the hell did you get a new puppy?

Give it up to a no-kill shelter. Sugar cures poison? LOL! Wow.

You "miss" the old him. Oh POOR YOU! You'll miss him when he DIES since you're doing NOTHING to help him. Shame on you.

Sugar in no way cures poisons. If he is weak and pale, he NEEDS to go to the vet. There is nothing we can do if your dog has indeed eaten a poisonous frog/toad.
