Why does the 99 Cent Only Stores now have items that are 1.99 with stickers?

I went to the local 99 cent only store (the official one, not the small retailers). I noticed that some items were marked $1.99 even though everything was supposed to be 99 cents only. What's going on?

Inflation. It is too early to change the store name.

People must have caught on to how the 99-cent sizes of everything are so damned tiny. Pretty soon they will be the $5 and $10 stores, just like Woolworth's and W. T. Grant used to have "five and dime" stores 60 years ago. Today's dollar ain't worth a nickel. I find I'm paying for stuff with $100 bills when I used to use only fives, tens and twenties. Or smaller.

99 cent stores are just showing that all of their items are cheap and around 99 cents

Ask Obama.

National debt was 10 trillion. prices 99cent.

Now. Debt 19 trillion and counting ....1.99

Simple math. Cause and effect. "Free money" is NOT free.

G. Edward Griffin shows the cause and effect relationship of inflation ( from gov debt) to rising prices. Libs do not want you to see it.
