There may not be anywhere on base to use them, but you should be able to go to a skate park in town and "blow off some steam" with your roller skates. But understand that the Marines comes first, and you may not have much room to store them in the barracks.

WHEN you get assigned to your permanent duty station. Yes you can. In the very little free time you have you can skate to your hearts content.

If the Mary Poppins that patrol that base are in a bad mood. You won't be skating.

I had a pair of rollerblades that I used all the time in Okinawa while serving in the Marines. There might be some regulation about using them on base, but I always went off base because it was more interesting.

When I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, they had a kliller skating rink. If you have the locker space........you can stow whatever you can cram in there.

You might get made fun of but after training is over you can have them yes.
