Many charities have organizational costs that eat up anywhere from 50 to 80% of all donated monies.
In the Navy, in boot camp......they ask if you want a portion of your pay to go to charity, and provide a booklet of all the charities out there...........but each are rated........from Excellent, to flat out RIP OFF.
I was surprised to learn, that one I had already been supporting for years.......had a terrible rating.........meaning they WASTED or spent most of the donated money on internal salaries for directors or overhead costs.
That was extremely disappointing to see. So I picked the ones with far better excellent ratings.......where the money actually goes to the intended cause.
This is fine outfit, serving a worthy cause.......but sounds like that new CEO needs to be replaced ASAP.

That's not the first time the WWP has been shown to only help those that run it.
Just a quick g00gle search will give you plenty of worthwhile ones.
my usual ones are the USO and Salvation Army.
