Why do people not wear swimwear when doing dry land training?

When someone is doing dry land training for swimming, diving, water polo, or synchronized swimming, they tend to ear tshirt and shorts. However, one of the goals of dry land training is to familiarize yourself with movements you will be doing in the water/air while wearing swimwear.

Is there a reason this is done that way?

Never heard of dry-land training for swimming. Are you making that up?

No. Dryland training is not just doing the movements out of water. Dryland training includes any training done out of the pool that improves your swimming. That can include weight training, running, calisthenics, etc. which all are more comfortable done in exercise clothes instead of swim suits.

I tried that last year since I thought we'd be swimming when it turned out to be dry land exercise, and I got REALLY hot and it was torture!

Because you either walk around with a wedgie all the time or be constantly digging the swimwear out you butt crack.
