Why would England name Dylan Hartley captain?
I noticed that Hartley was captain yesterday against Scotland. Hartley is probably the dirtiest player in the game. He is a thug, a cheat and a coward. He brings the game into disrepute merely by playing it. A man who has collectively served more than a year of suspensions in his professional career clearly holds the game in contempt. By naming him captain England are giving up any right to complain about foul play - after all they are demonstrating that foul play is something they believe should be rewarded. If England have nobody better to give the captaincy to than this disgrace of a man, who isn't even English, what does that say about the sorry state of English rugby?
