Why are Christians against homosexuality?

Jesus never mentions homosexuality in the bible but he mentions divorce as being a sin and Christians seem to be more accepting of divorce than they do homosexuality.

Because the Bible says so.

While the Bible disapproves of homosexual acts, it does not condone hatred of homosexuals or homophobia. Instead, Christians are directed to respect everyone. 1 Peter 2:17

Romans 1:18-27

That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene.”

Here Paul specifically condemned both male and female homosexuality. He condemned homosexual practices as unnatural and “obscene.”

The Christians that complain that the bible is against homosexuality are the ones who only think something is a sin if they find it icky or if it doesn't inconvenience them.

Because it is an abomination in the sight of the Lord.

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

As you can see in verse 32, these sin are worthy of death.

Do I need to say anymore, i don't think so, Gods word says it ALL.

Because God is - and he calls it an abomination worthy of death. And in the OT they were stoned.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

As for Jesus >>>>

Mat 19:4 "Haven't you read the Scriptures?" Jesus replied. "They record that from the beginning 'God made them male and female.'

Mat 19:5 And he said, 'This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.'

Mat 19:6 Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together."

=============

God hates ALL fornication equally - gay or straight - and he despises divorce. He will punish all these.

Christians are against the PRACTICE of homosexuality, not against homosexuals. The Catholic Church is the One True Church.
