Putin is one person. Other countries dont focus on personalities or the image of the leader as Americans do. Putin will be out of government eventually but the U.S. has to learn to negotiate, rather than dictate. Thats the complaint from many countries about America. Putin is smart, informed, capable and insightful. America can learn from him but instead, America just pushes Russia out of the global economy for no reason other than Russia wants to do business in the same country and has influence in the same country as the U.S. I did hear Donald Trump state, wisely, that Russia is an asset and we should work with them. America has so much of the world, Russia has a small part of it.

It really depends on what Putin says about him.

Update: Putin says nice things about Trump because Putin knows Trump is extremely narcissistic.

Trump's policy for Putin and Russia has been explained by him in detail.

"Putin is a really really tough guy, okay ?
I'm going to have the toughest, smartest people making deals with him.
Believe me.
We're going to deal with him, and we'll win. Believe me.
It's going to be terrific. Believe me."
