Is Yahoo the worst site on the web? I feel like all the Ads slow it down too much.?

I don't know if it's the worst, but it is pretty awful. I started using Yahoo! when it first started. The format was very easy to navigate through. Don't get me started on that horrible layout that's there now where the "news" carousel is gone and there are just endless pictures next to some headline in no particular order. It's one heck of a cluttered mess. I remember back when Flickr was user friendly. Now the format is awful. Even though a lot of users voiced their negative opinions in the feedback when the format was changed Yahoo kept it anyway. I remember Yahoo Answers back in the day. It went downhill once they got rid of the green format. I used to use Yahoo Maps all the time even when Mapquest gained popularity. I liked Yahoo games a lot. I dislike the video ads or those animated ads that are found here because like you said, they slow everything down. I can't check my mail without having to deal with some glitch (i.e. message won't load, mail window won't load). I keep coming back in hopes of seeing improvement, but unfortunately I'm seeing the opposite and it keeps declining in quality. I've been using Yahoo since the 90's so it's sad to see the state of decay it's in now. I heard somewhere where they were trying to sell Yahoo. If this is true hopefully the new owners, people in charge can bring it back to it's former glory....Show more

Yahoo is terrible. Not only are the answers pathetic, the yahoo mail is also terrible.

I remember the good old days with yahoo games, groups, chat, and original yahoo answers. The time when yahoo mail was superior to gmail. The only reason I even keep my yahoo email is because a lot of people know it....Show more
