Tell me your experiences with septum piercings please?

I want to get my septum pierced. A friend of mine who is a college professor recently got hers done and has been able to flip it up into her nose without issue. That's what is making me want to do it more, because I like the idea of being able to hide it without taking it out.

So yeah, if you've got a septum piercing, let me know your experiences with it, the good, the bad, so on and so forth.

Oh, and if you're just gonna be on here to tell me not to do it, go away, you're wasting your time.

It defently hurts but its more bearable then everyone says

It will not be the most confertable flipped up unless u get pierced with a steel retainer....  balls or spikes on a horse shoe just feel awkward

If flipped up the ring will want to turn up when fliped down anytime you move your nose, so a heavey ring may be needed

All in all its a grrat piercing to get, if you can beat the sorness (and the smell, kinda fishy, if you dont clean every day (even after healed))

It will have sore flare ups now and again
