How likely is it for two sisters to be diagnosed with epilepsy within the space of 6 months?
I'm 16 years old and I had my first epileptic seizure in October 2015. After all the tests I was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy in January 2016. I am currently on medication and haven't had a seizure since. But, last night (April 6th) my 12 year old sister had a seizure. Obviously as early on as this we are unaware of what caused the seizure. How likely is it that two sisters have epilepsy? I find it bizarre that it has happened to close.
