What kind of job and how much can I realistically make from IT field with my current degree?

I just earned BS in IT and CompTIA A+ and Network+. I have no experience in IT field because I've been working at retail jewelry shop for past 10 years. I've been fixing and building my own pc and friends' and family member's pc. What kind of job can I realistically get at this point and how much can I expect to earn? I doubt I will be able to get network admin or engineer job right off the bet without no real experience. Can I expect more than help desk position?

I like to do this with my young son. Let's reverse the roles: You're the IT manager looking to hire a few people for the following spots:
- Desktop Support Lvl-1
- Desktop Support Lvl-3
- Infrastructure Analyst Lvl-1
- Network Admin Lvl-1

You sift through today's batch of resumes and you see one from a gentleman who says he's just completed a BS in IT (whatever that is), and that he holds 2 CompTIA certs: A+ and Network+. Oh my, he has no practical experience in the field, but his certs do show some promise.

Which job would you consider him for and why?

How can anyone answer? You don't state what degree you hold.
