Is it ok to quit my job?

I really hate quitting , I feel like a failure but idk anymore :( I recently got a new serving job. I have been a server for 4 years and I moved so I got a new serving job in the area. I thought it wouldn t be too bad since I had done this before. Well my first day they made me take a 8top with barely any knowledge of the menu . But hey I made it work. 2nd and 3rd day we got so busy and got thrown into the mix and somehow made it work. But it s so overwhelming because the other servers get mad at me because I m slow. I just barley started. Also we have to make our own salads , desserts and get our own soups. Today day 4 I just broke down. I ve worked in the industry before but never like this. I hate to be a quitter but I m not feeling it :( idk what to di

What I'd suggest, so you feel like more of a success, is that you keep this job for now, but start looking for a new one. This time, be observant when you go in to places. In fact, go spy on them. Go there when it's busy, and look around. Observe what the servers are doing. See if you think the place would suit you. If it does, then come back when it's not busy and ask about a job.

Get a new job before you quit this one. Then when you get the new job, totally quit, and never worry about this place again.

What this also does is gives you a bit more time at this current job, to see if you adapt to the pace. If you do, then great - you keep this job. But if you do not, then you've learned something here - you've learned that there are some server jobs that you're great at, and others which simply aren't a fit for how you work. And that's fine - you look for a job that does work for you.
