If I were to even consider buying a car, I want to know most of the problem patterns and shortcomings and not be the guinea pig, so at least 5-7 years of data.

There are still many issues with self driving cars. They still struggle in snow and thick fog. 
They also have issues in places off the map. 
Where I work is off the map and we have strange objects to avoid as well as moving in areas with public access on foot.
