You should feed it locust I feed them to my dragon and unlike crickets locust can't breed in this country so if one gets loose it will just dye instead of reproducing -

You will get a variety in the box, some chirp others dont but some have an annoying sound that drives you crazy especially if they escape which they do often, mealworms are not high in nutrition even if they are gut fed which means you can feed the mealworms or other live food before feeding your beardie so it gets double nutrition, lettuce has no nutritional value either as it is mainly water unless you buy rocket lettuce, kale(not too much) is a good veg to feed and watercress, mixed, baby spinach, grated carrot, grated butternut squash (good for constipation), basil leaves, finely chopped bell/capsicum peppers not the spicy ones mine love those variety packsof mixed salad from a large supermarket, beardies need to eat more veg as they get older the rule of thumb is when they are little you give 80%live food preferably gut fed and 20% veg and when they are older its 80%veg and 20% live food, search for beardie care sheet online and you will get a few ideas on foods to feed your beardie.

Yes you have to feed your bearded dragon lettuce different greens but it also need bugs in its diet, that's very important. Most people feed them crickets and dubia roaches for snacks but I do it the other way around, but you can also feed mealworms instead of crickets, but there really isn't any real way to keep them quite, some chirp and some don't, I have experienced this myself, wish I could be more help

You can feed it other things than crickets, like lettuce for example.
If you are interested in feeding your beardie crickets and are worried about the noise, I'd recommend keeping them in the basement or bathroom because they will make noise.

Yes most crickets make noise and are very messy.
They do sell "silent" crickets but they still chirp, just less.
You could feed mealworms instead. Much less messy and quiet.
