Have you ever went swimming with foundation or a tinted moisturizer on?

I'm going to be a lifeguard and I usually wear makeup when I'm out in public. I know wearing a powder foundation in the pool would probably be a bad idea, but what about wearing a tinted moisturizer or concealer?

It's a terrible idea. It will smudge and form patches.
Believe me, nobody expects a life guard to look good :) Your job is to save people. Be responsible!
