Do American credentials transfer over to Canada?
Hubby is a dental assistant. Would he be able to get a job in Canada without going through more schooling? We know how it works state to state, but not country to country.

We have the order of The College of Dentists, that would be a good place to start.
Now for the second order of business, re getting employment. Not without the correct Work Permit, or Visa, which allows to Study or Work in Canada.

america is one of the hardest countries to gain a credential in (highest standards) so it will transfer to every country with minimal if any extra courses (maybe 1 or 2 short courses to learn about the local laws and what not)

American schooling is accepted in Canada, so he should apply for a license. Of course, that does not give you permission to live in Canada.

There are 4500 Universities and Colleges in the USA. They do not all teach the same stuff.
