I moved with my cat by car. I sprayed the car down with Feliway about a half hour before we left and plugged a diffuser into the cigarette lighter. (I actually emptied out an air wick diffuser and filled it with Feliway from a Feliway refill - much cheaper). The litter box was on the floor shoved between the back seat and passenger seat, cat bed on the passenger seat sprinkled with catnip, and quiet music only :-) I kept her harness on the whole time and took her with me on a leash when I stopped at rest stops...after I went to the bathroom of course. I managed to get her to play a bit there so she wouldn't play in the car (not safe, especially the way my cat plays). I think your kitten will be just fine, especially with a concerned and caring human looking after him :-)

If youre going by plane, there is nothing you can do but wait until landing, the kitten WILL BE FINE
By car well its always distressing, and they will cry, but its always fine, try to keep the cage on your lap to keep it comforted, keep plenty of toys in there, and take regular stops to let it wonder around the car. Ive moved with my parents old cats before and had no problems. Most chance is it will fall asleep for the journey
