I got called in for an interview for Wal-Mart last Wednesday, still haven t heard anything back. The interviewer said he liked me and would get back to me.

It's only a few days. Interviews may not all be completed yet. Personally I get fed up with people calling me when I have told them that I will call them with any news.

Yes. Be proactive. Give him a call. And for future reference always ask when you should expect to hear back from your interviewer. If they say Thursday, call on Friday, if they say Friday, call on Monday.
