Publishing on Amazon?
So when you publish your book off of amazon, do you have to pay to do it? Or is it more like they get part of the profit from the sales? Thanks for answering guys!

You upload through CreateSpace (which takes a cut of your book price) and have the choice to have Amazon sell it too (and yes, THEY take a cut off your book price with each sale as well). When I sell my $5 book I get .84 cents for each copy sold, the Amazon & Createspace sites get the rest. It was disappointing to find that out, but my book was only 200 pages so I couldn't charge more than $5 and expect sales.

Why not go over to Amazon and look it up there?
They have a great info page where it is all spelled out.

There are no upfront costs for publishing an ebook on Amazon. They make their money by taking a cut of the revenue.

They take a percentage which varies based on the price of the book.
