Tattoos on social workers?

I m going to school to get my masters in social work. After I graduate I hope to work at a psychiatric hospital. I plan on getting a tattoo of a flower on my wrist. I was wondering if anyone knew if they would be too much? It s covering self harm scars, and I figured a tattoo would be less taboo than scars. Plus it s just an outline of flowers.

I would think currently the trend goes to more and more people having tattoos to the point where might even be less common to not have a tattoo than to have one, particularly in your generation. I wouldn't stress out about it. I don't think anybody will really care.

I think a nice tattoo like that would actually be very fitting for someone in the line of work you are pursuing. It adds a human element.

I don't think I've ever seen one on a social worker, but I've seen them on other medical professionals.

Each employer has their own rules on visible tattoos.
I would wait to get visible artwork until you have a stable career.
