Should more states invest in Public Transportation?

Places like Seattle have great public tranpsportation. More room to build homes instead of roads can also lead to less pollution and homelessness.

Right. A strong infrastructure that can take you wherever you want to go around town is a great idea.
Reduces traffic too, making super dense places like NYC at least manageable.
Houston by contrast has sprawl. Car dependent.

Never hurts to have a good, frequent and cheap source of transit

Absolutely I think it should be a priority to invest in public transportation, but why just have the government do it? that isn't how roads were first built in this country.

the people in my area have voted no on this several times in the past five years.

or did you mean to say why doesn't the state legislature shove the program and taxes down the peoples; throats like ObamaCare?

only if that is the wish of the people of those states. Its the will of the people, not the will of a few elitist political blow hards.

Sure, YOU can ride the bus with the stinky homless people, and the drug addicts, and the ghetto hood rats.
