Why is it consoles Xbox One S and PS4 don't have a game disc inside. They offer a code that you have to enter to download the entire game?

Very ridiculous. For example Gears of War 4 for Xbox One S, is 54 GB to download. That would take hours to download. It is much easier for the consoles to have a game disc included instead of downloading the huge game.

All Xbox One and PlayStation 4 video games I own have featured discs, the video games are installed on the hard drive to keep the system cool, not make as much noise and relieve damage from the video game disc constantly spinning in the disc drive.

Any shift in the video game industry can be blamed on the leeches who spent years sucking off the belly of the industry, whether obtaining video games illegally or purposely buying used copies of video games to 'Buck the system'.

1. Digital is cheaper than physical. It costs money to make the disk. It also costs money to make the case. In ms's case it's even worse because Sony helped to invent blu-ray so for every disk ms has to pay a fee.

2. Most developers prefer digital over physical because you can't sell a virtual game. Developers lose quite a bit of money from used game sales. They don't get money from used game sales.

3. More and more people are moving toward virtual because of the faster internet speed.

Most disk only have so much storage. So ultimately the rest of it will have to be downloaded in order to provide all the game material.
