I am wondering if anyone has used a taxi service and what method you used to pay the cab driver? I am thinking cash would be best since I need to picked up/dropped off twice. Bonus questions: Do you make them wait during your appointment or do you call them two separate times?
There is not an Uber or Lyft service in my area that I can use. I also definitely do not want to use Craigslist rideshare either.

You pay them cash. I advise you to never use a taxi as they are way overpriced. Book an Uber instead. You can pay with credit card, it's cheaper and gives you the price of the trip before you even request an Uber ride.

Just a few times, I pay in cash, and I wouldn't make them wait because it would be more expensive to do so.

Yes, and we paid with cash. They drop you off on your destination, than called them again when you done with your appointment.
