It was a two part dream, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. My wife went back to her ex, even though we still lived together. Then her ex was with some friends, yada yada yada, the friends tried to attack me, and well, the friends were no more. I woke up angry. Didn't know if this meant anything special or not.

Probably just you waking up angry because you would be angry if it happened in real life. You can still experience emotions while in a dream so you probably just woke up feeling those emotions still.
