Question about an Accident with a CDL licence?

I was in a car crash on the freeway in my personal vehicle, I was sideswiped and then rear ended the car in front of me. my Issue is I have a CDL how will this affect it? I did not get a citation but insurance is putting me at fault.

Your class of driver's licence doesn't affect anything. Seriously, it has absolutely nothing to do with who was responsible for an accident. None of this will affect the status of your commercial driver's licence.

If your insurance company says you were at fault in an accident, you absolutely were at fault in that accident. You gave them permission to make that decision when you agreed to hire them as your insurer, and their decision is final. The accident was your fault.

What effect this has on your commercial licence, if any, is entirely a matter for the licensing authority in your mystery location to decide. And since you didn't say where you live, probably because you're an idiot, you'll just have to accept the decision.

One accident? Relax.... Nothing will happen to your CDL

Note: Getting a lawyer now is the most foolish of suggestions. Perhaps the person who suggested it, IS a Lawyer and is drumming up business for him and his prefession?

I think you should get a lawyer. From the way you describe it, they may be saying you're at fault so your employer will have to pay for damages.

A dash cam is good protection.
You have to tell your employers.

not your fault then it won't affect you if no citation was issued against you
