From New Orleans and it is most definitely a melting pot. While it is a small part in just about everyone's life, it can be practiced in the open. There are plenty shops in the French Quarter, but for most of us, that's where the tourists go. Then word of mouth takes it from there.

New Orleans was a place of many slaves, especially Haitian slaves, many of whom practiced voodoo and were considered witches. There were some pretty famous ones in the 1700's as I recall.

Cause New Orleans is like a french state in a way cajun and hatians and what not florida is known well for it too i believe
