On Nov 10, my computer was given (I was offered no choice) a massive dose of Microsoft updates!?

This is unusual because I use the WIN7 OS, however the details reveal that my Office 2007 installation was pinpointed. I subsequently have lost ALL of my self-created Excel macros. They no longer exist even when I download a saved version from well before this update! WTF? My computer frequently made me pause to choose if I knew a macro was safe before it would run it, but most of the regular ones ran with no problems. Does anyone have any knowledge of this November update to Office 2007?

Thank you for the answers, but no one has been all that helpful. Please read my comments.

You may have to reinstall Office if you still have the installer, or uninstall the updates and roll it back to a previous version. Then turn off updates for Office.

I'm running linux mint rosa 17.3. I bought a new computer which came with win 10. I had read that 10 was full of ms spyware, and even the end user license agreement said that ms can use whatever info they find on your computer against you. So I said goodbye to microbrain.

So switch to a different system, Win 7, 8, 8.1 are all still supported or eb=nter a brand new world of wonder and ease of use by installing one of the hundreds of different Linux systems instead. I recommend Linux Mint 17.3 or Peppermint 7(if your computer tends to be a bit slow).
