The name Rose (see description)?
I have a second-cousin, a great aunt, a best friend, and a favorite on-screen character named Rose. But would it still seem basic to use that name as a middle name for my child, since it's so common? Thoughts?

Use it. It's beautiful and it doesn't matter what others think.
Grace is extremely special to me as a family name and I intend to use it. I know a girl whose had four Maries in her family, so her middle name is not meaningless just because it's common. Same goes for you. If it means something, then it's not a boring filler name. So go for it!

It is overused but it's a really nice name and if you like it you should go for it. It works well with a lot of names. You could use it as a first name too, or a variation of it like Rosalie, Rosemary, Rosa, etc
