That is actually an extremely common sleep paralysis hallucination. To be honest, I grew up with these things happening a couple times a month. Like you I thought it was demon attacks. When the internet became big I learned all about sleep paralysis. It still occurred, but after I understood that they were hallucinations, the actual hallucinations stopped and it wasn't so scary anymore.

No, but you thought one did. When you're stuck in sleep paralysis your brain is still releasing DMT, the drug that makes you hallucinate/dream. So you're just imagining a lot of what you see when your in paralysis
