Webtooners...I'm looking for a partner!!?

So I write novels, but I've been thinking recently that I would love to a comic. Issue I can't draw worth crap...like a 2nd grader could probably draw better then me. I'm looking someone who can draw and do the whole web comic thing. I would do the plot and story line (I will take all inputs from my partner) while they do all the illustrations. If you approve I will have a contract written up that will make sure both of us get the credit that's due; so....any takers...and once I find someone who is interested I will tell you the plot and we will decide where we go from there! Thanks!!

Have you written your comic? Do you have a full character list with descriptions? Do you have an idea of how many pages your comic is going to be?

And while "the credit that's due" is well and good, artists are going to want more in a contract. At the very least, a 50/50 percentage, unless you have a specific marketing plan in mind, in which case you may be able to claim an additional 10-15%, making it a 65/35 percentage.

If you have not yet written your comic, you need to do that before finding an artist. They are not going to wait while you decide the next chapter. Make sure you have a list of each and every character, so the artist has an idea of how complicated this project will be. The more complicated, the more it will cost you.

Keep in mind NO artist will work for free. If you cannot pay up front, you will have to pay MORE than the base 50/50 percentage because of the delay in the artist getting paid. You will also have to have a SPECIFIC timeline of when the work will be completed. That is for your protection as well as theirs.

Yahoo! Answers is for Valid Questions, not to solicit work from people, whether paid or not. Please do not abuse the service. Take your work solicitiation to Fivrr.com, or Freelancer.com, or Deviantart.com, which are better suited to your search, and will better provide you with possible artists. This is not the place for job solicitations.
