have you ever?

Have you ever been crying in a dream, then wake up from the dream and be crying for real? What did/do you do when this happens? What causes it?

Just happened to me last night/this morning. I was dreaming and crying in the dream and woke up and was crying for real. I just laid there and cried myself back to sleep. Didn't really know what else to do. Any thoughts?

Emotions felt in dreams are real. The tears are real. The sadness you feel is real. What is important however is understanding why the feelings are being brought to you. When we sleep, we process a lot of what the conscious mind did not process during the day and sometimes it affects us this way. Take a look at the events of the day and with careful contemplation, you would be able to understand what made you cry and what you need to do about it. All the best.

This is normal. Our five senses do not go to sleep when we sleep. They are active. How many times have you smelled bacon frying in the pan in a dream, or seen dead people in dreams, or heard music in dreams. Some of the most famous musical compositions came to people in dreams. You could go through all of the senses and have dreams about them, and then there is the 6th sense and how many of us have dreams of intuition which turn out to be true? Do not stress or worry about this.

No. My attention span doesn't last that long.
