Is there a causal connection between substance abuse early in life and Parkinson's disease later?

Seeing as how people get intoxicated, dopamine floods their brain, followed by
the sensation of pleasure.

No mystery as to why this process gets repeated so often.

Is is then the case that a person
loses their ability to produce it, and/or the
nerve endings are no longer as sensitive to it?

Third paragraph should read Is IT then...

Good thing that my OCD & perfectionistic tendencies
are still intact.
Otherwise, I would have missed it.

No such connection has been shown in the material that I have read. Much more research is needed, and all possible links should be thoroughly investigated.
