What is the magnitude and direction of the electric force on the electron?

An electron finds its way into a 1984 N/C electric field that points due east. What is the magnitude and direction of the electric force on the electron?

3.52 x 10-16 N west
4.42 x 10-16 N west
5.00 x 10-16 N west
3.18 x 10-16 N west

F = qE = 1.602e-19*1984 = 3.18 x 10-16 N west
The direction of the E field is the direction of it's force on a positive charge. Thus on the negatively charged electron the force will have the opposite direction of east which is west.
