Jesus said that none of the people present during the time he was giving prophecy will pass away until he returns again.
So, did he already fulfill the prophecy and Christians are currently worshiping a dead religion, or did Jesus lie to those people who have long since been dead?

The unfulfilled prophecies in the Bible are simply yet to be fulfilled. It does not mean they are false, just not fulfilled yet. Hebrews 11 is the best chapter on faith, and there you will find that all those folks listed in the chapter died-in-faith, not having realized the fulfillment of many of the prophecies, in fact many more than us, since we have seen the results of the promised Messiah. And current events are aligning in such a way that the media is covering the process of fulfilling end-times prophecies on a daily basis. .

You refer to Luke 9:27; Matthew 16:28; Mark 9:1
Reading the very next verses following Luke 9:27 show the fulfilment, which happened eight days after Jesus made that prediction about "some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."
This came to pass when Peter, John, and James were taken by Jesus to a mountain to pray. Those 3 had heard Jesus' prediction about 8 days earlier. What happened on that mountain was truly a demonstration of seeing the kingdom of God in great glory!
As Jesus was praying, those apostles saw Jesus changed into radiance beyond anything seen on Earth. Then they saw Moses and Elijah stand beside this transfigured Jesus, speaking with Him. They too were glorious in their appearance. As Moses and Elijah departed, a cloud descended over them, then they heard the very voice of God from Heaven declaring, "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him."
If you had witnessed that glorification of Jesus Christ, who is the King of God's Kingdom, would you not have thought immediately of Jesus' prophetic words a week earlier about seeing the Kingdom of God come with power? I know I would!

It is quite ironic. They never learn. Jesus quite clearly told his followers that the second coming and final judgement would happen during the lifetime of people alive then. Well it clearly never happened. There are various Christian denominations, all, for some reason, founded in the USA, which have made a number of predictions about the end of the world. It seems they learned no lessons from the Bible. I do not know about all but the Jehovah's Witnesses have quietly dropped their predictions for when the world will end.
I have no objection to people believing what they want. If they want to worship a stone that is fine. What I do not want is for them to throw that stone at me. Unfortunately, that all too often happens. Instead of simply saying we believe this, rational or not, evidence or none, the religious keep saying there is evidence but always fail to produce it. They also attempt to force all of society to live according to their mythology, which is wrong.

Jesus said some of those present would not pass away until they see him in his kingdom glory. Three of Jesus' apostle saw Jesus in his kingdom glory at the transfiguration. Prophecy fulfilled, Matthew 17:1-9. You obviously have no understanding of the Scriptures.
