Is Washington D.C. a good place to live for someone who doesn't care about politics?

There's a potential non-political job opportunity for me in Washington D.C.

Most people who work in the Washington Metro Area have jobs that have nothing to do with politics. It's a great job market for computer folks, real estate agents, people who work in the hospitality industry, etc, etc. In general, the people are educated, and enjoy the many things there are to do, few of which have anything to do with politics.

Actually, over the years I've heard it said - not really. If a person is working and professional or the like, sociable, normal. It seems that DC really does revolve around politics and the attractions for people who aren't involved are somewhat limited. That's not to say there's nothing....

You do not want to live in Washington. You want to live in Virginia which is just across the bridge in Arlington or one of the close in communities.
