My friend is stole my things!! What should I do?

I’m 14 and So basically I was at his house for a sleepover and then I saw some things I wanted in his shelf next to my sleeping bag so I took them and put them in my pocket and I also took some money I wanted bc I don’t get an allowance like he does so it’s fair and I went home with the stuff the next day today my friend came over and saw what I stole in my room and hates me now after he stole my things back! I didn’t do anything
