Who gets called?
If the USA went into a war such that they required the draft, who would have to go? It seems to me there are quite a large section of the population who want acceptance, even support. But when the chips are down; would they go?

They didn't the last time it was used. That is why it was stopped. You should have watched the Ken Burns mini-series about Vietnam on PBS. It showed some of the discontent of the 60's and 70's on the streets that was real.
