Any financial advisor should be able to help you

The American Legion's website. The AARP (they focus on info for retired people) and you can find links to others on the AARP site as well.

You hire a financial advisor to assist, there are hundreds of financial advisors out there.
While not a huge fan personally, you can always ask AARP or another organization for a recommendation in your area. I get the feeling you don't want to just talk to someone over the phone, which is why you need a local referral.
You can also do your own homework. Buy Retirement for Dummies. I don't mean to say you are a dummy, those books are a good starting point for your research though.

You are about 30 years too late - you should have been planning for retirement back in your 20's. Having said that, you start by contacting whichever company holds your pension plan (whether that is a 401(k) or defined plan) and see if they have some retirement advisors on staff. If you do not have a pension plan and/or substantial savings, you have plenty of tie to start since you will be working at least for the next 10 years (no, you cannot live off Social Security).
